•March 29, 2009 • Leave a CommentIts like a movie, but Im standing still – Bob Dylan
•March 9, 2009 • 1 CommentI saw M83 last night at the Disney Concert Hall. I gotta be honest, when I saw more the LA Philharmonic gang I thought hey they’re nice and all but Im here for a rock band. All the cultured types (Im tempted to say New Yorker types) and some really hot women all sitting down quietly, intently, listening like its a physics lecture. The parts when M83 did perform was really good. M83 uses a mix of “noise” and very simple loops and layers it with classical music. I wanted something really loud but this is pretty neat. Disney Concert hall is very cool too.
The night before I saw Watchmen, which is the most awesome movie in recent memory. Awesome slow-mo opening credit montage with Bob Dylan’s ‘Times-They-Are-A-Changing”, other flashback montage with other awesome music, awesome sex, the girls are hot, the violence is so satisfying when the bad guys get beat up/cut up/fried, the glowing naked blue man has awesome powers and he does it fully nude(with full frontal penis too), the FX are awesome, they crammed so much story in almost 3 hours, it actually had an ending.
Ok so it was good.
There’s been many things Ive been wanting to say since the last post, which was, like, a year ago. Man, time moves so fast in the USA.
I was in New York last December. Saw the American dream incarnate, and found out New York is actually quite old – its skyscrapers are easily older than 60 years. Seeing that skyline of buildings and the vibrancy of people coming from all over the world to it – its a “wooo” and some seconds of silence. Saw, felt, and drank snow for the first time in life.
Things are going good here now, it definitely aint a bed of roses but so much to be thankful and to look forward to.
I’ll probally make the entries as simple as possible. I like that.
Until then.
Oh did I tell you the Thai restaurants here are the closest thing to a mamak nasi kandar at 2am? Yes and the american size is satisfying as hell.

Comic Life awesome mac app
•June 21, 2008 • 3 CommentsThere is very very neat app on the Mac that I just discovered could be a whole lot more useful than mere comic strip-ing.
I think most Intel Mac’s have Comic Life preinstalled. So anyway whats neat about it could be an awesome storyboarding tool, but the best thing is the multiple pictures per page idea, that would take a fair amout of effort in photoshop(or microsoft paint). Its gonna be pretty neat to tell a picture essay or story.
Imagining all the emails to home would now be in a single file, with neat little bubbles at an unobtrusive corner. Graphic novels now would be neat little picture stories. Anyway heres an example :
A squirrel in America that took a public bus.
Maybe that could be a pickup line.
Mac Tip : Ever wanted to take screenshots of your Mac? There is a shortcut for it : apple+shift+3 for the whole screen and apple+shift+4 for selected area.
